Forget your best buddy, number 4 (or even their cousin, number 6). We're going to get odd on this one.

1. 7 will illuminate our rhythm. Set your time signature to 7/4 or 7/8. For your hardware, let's get 7 steps going.

2. The number 7 will also bless our harmonies. You must use at least one 7 chord (ex. B maj 7). More if you want but at least one in your chord progressions.
